Paula Mealy

Paula has lived in Florida since 2007, first in Sumter County and for the last 16 years in Marion County. She graduated with a degree in computer science and spent the first part of her career as a programmer/project leader/project manager. After deciding she preferred the people side of the business, she moved into Resource Management and Human Resources. Most of her career was spent in the DC/Maryland/Northern Virginia area.

She moved to Florida with her husband in late 2007 with plans to retire after her remote work on her final project ended a few years later. After 2 years of retirement, it was clear she was not ready. Her goal was to find a non-profit to devote her final years of working to, and Kids Central fit the bill. Paula spent 10 years in various roles, the last being the executive assistant to the CEO and CFO, retiring in June of 2025.

Paula and her husband Denny spend their spare time traveling, are active members of their church and are members of a Praise and Worship band. Paula is also a volunteer at the Marion County Animal Shelter.

Paula is excited to apply her years of business management, people management, and KCI working experience to further the mission of this amazing organization.
